With the arrival of summer, what could be better than sitting outdoors and enjoying a bottle of wine in good company?
At Mota, we can only help with the company to a certain extent, but we can certainly recommend the garden of our Bistrot for outdoor seating and, above all, an excellent selection of wines perfect for summer, chosen for you by Raffaele and Gaia, the new sommelier of the Restaurant & Wine.
Here are two must-try labels:
Vitovska - Milic Zagrsky
The first wine is one of Gaia's favorites, a pure Vitovska by Milic Zagrsky, a micro wine producer from the Italian Karst region (about 2 hectares) who works really well. The wine is characterized by strong sapidity, accompanied by freshness and aromas. A great choice for summer evenings, even paired with one of Chef Federico Maglio's dishes from Mota's menu: high-altitude potato gnocchi with Moncenisio blue cheese.
Nicola Gatta
Raffaele, on the other hand, suggests a sparkling wine, essential for summer: Nicola Gatta, another small producer (about 5 hectares) who works in Gussago near Franciacorta. It is 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir, very fresh, with no dosage and no added sulfites. Truly ideal for a sunset aperitif.
