If summer is the quintessential beautiful season, there is no doubt that autumn, at least in the mountains, is equally so. Just look at the spectacle of changing colors that repaint the landscapes surrounding Livigno day by day, or savor the scents of the grape harvest that permeate the entire Valtellina, or perhaps indulge in some delicious game dishes grown in our region.
We at Mota particularly love autumn, mainly because it allows us to enrich our menu with dishes typical of this season, based on ingredients deeply connected to our land and history: pumpkin, chestnuts, venison, and roe deer meats, royal mallard, turnips, and chelude (a type of cranberry) typical of Livigno, truffles, mushrooms, and rhubarb. Not to mention wine, but if you've had the opportunity to visit our restaurant or our cellar, you know well that wine is a part of our work that overflows with passion.
In short, starting from September 21st, get ready for a comprehensive experience of scents and flavors, with that extra touch of magic that we at Mota strive to infuse into everything we do. Summer is ending, the beautiful summer as Cesare Pavese called it, but an even better season is about to arrive at Mota!
